I'm a free-spirited, kind of hippie, other-culture-loving, Vespa-obsessed mid-twenties girl with a passion for ending global poverty, abolishing sex trafficking, and keeping mamas with their babies. My husband and I strive to advocate for & pursue a slower, more ethical lifestyle, so I created this blog as a place for others who are passionate about world change to connect with Fair Trade artisan women (and men) around the world & help them support their families.

Okay listen...if this orange dress had a frequent flyer program, it would have earned me first class by now. 😅

I thrifted this beauty at @topbuttons and honestly have to stop myself from wearing it every time I leave the house. It’s that comfy, that flattering, and just does the most all on its own. 💁🏽‍♀️

But for this week’s challenge, I decided to mix it up!
I threw on this tropical floral kimono for a little vacay-on-my-back vibes, and it inspired the rest of the look too:

Charming Necklace with a Labradorite charm, Noa Necklace are handcrafted by women in India earning dignified incomes instead of working in sweatshops.

And topped it all off with my Sandstone Crossbody for easygoing, hands-free cuteness.

(PS - you guys actually helped me pick this exact accessory combo on my Live this morning, so basically you're all honorary stylists now. 😘)

I wore this outfit today to a local ladies' meet-up I host, this time at a sushi bar, because sushi + sisterhood is obviously a perfect combo.

It’s #FashionRevolutionWeek . But around here, we kinda celebrate it every week. 🥰

Every outfit, every accessory I choose, every LIVE we hang out in together... it’s all part of standing up for a better fashion future.

12 years ago today, over 1,100 garment workers lost their lives in the Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh. ❤️

It's Fashion Revolution Week.
I'm choosing to think globally, and act locally. 🌍
Because what we buy matters. Who we support matters.

So I’m asking the hard questions:
Who made this? Were they safe? Were they paid fairly? Were they a child?
And I’m doing my best to support brands that say yes, every single time.

Because ethical shopping isn’t about being perfect...it’s about being aware.

Choosing better, even when it’s slower.

And remembering that real people’s lives are behind every price tag.

We can’t change the past.
But we can change the future...with what’s in our carts. ❤️

Seven years ago, I was in Haiti, sitting beside women like Makensia, learning how to roll beads from discarded cereal boxes.

Makensia lives in a village surrounded by tropical beauty...but also by deep poverty.
She’s a mother of five who’s faced domestic abuse, the loss of a child, and countless challenges... but none of that has defined her.

While many women in her village have had to give up their children to poverty orphanages to save them from starvation, Makensia has been able to keep her family together...because of the income she earns hand-making jewelry from what others throw away.

The Pure Love Bracelet is part of that story.
It’s a symbol of resilience, dignity, and a better way forward.

Happy Earth Day, friends!
In honor of Earth Day and #fashionrevolutionweek, I’m bringing back one of my favorite reels from last year...because the message is just as important now as it was then.

This one’s all about recycled + eco-friendly style...featuring some sustainable home decor, a thrifted romper, Fair Trade accessories, and my go-to @papillonmarketplace mug (because we all know coffee is basically my love language).

Why does it matter?
Because fashion has a footprint. Fast Fashion is stomping all over our planet.

Chemicals from dyes and finishes pollute water supplies

Clothing production guzzles up tons of water and energy

And most of it happens in places with no environmental protections

But there’s good news: We can choose better.
Fair Trade values prioritize people and the planet. Like my beautiful mango wood pieces ...crafted sustainably in India from trees that no longer bear fruit.

Every small swap matters.
Every conscious purchase adds up.
And every time we choose to rewear, thrift, or support artisans...we’re casting a vote for the kind of world we want to live in.

So here’s to making Earth Day every day, one beautiful, ethical piece at a time.

I’m snacking in style today...these beauties are served up on the Acacia Dish, handcrafted by women in India overcoming poverty. And that’s the Katie Bracelet, made by survivors of trafficking in the Dominican Republic. Both are stunning. Both are stories of resilience.
